You do not have to read all of this Q&A as part of the mandatory rules in our Light Shines Discord Server. However, these Q&A provide additional fine points for what we manage in our Discord server if such case arises. Certain Q&As are more pertaining to general Discord rules and mechanics to help you provide a smooth and welcome experience.

(1.) Who to contact if there are questions, issues, or someone is violating rules in this server?

Contact StanleyQ6309 on DM (Direct Message), even if he is on "Do Not Disturb" (ideally he often records his own videos). If he is not active at all, you may message another Discord mod named Eppsilon7.
StanleyQ6309 is usually active all day between 9:00pm ET to 12:00am ET. Below lists some time zones related to it:

(2.) Are there any additional fine notes about the 1st Rule in the server: "Respect everyone"?

These include those following you MUST follow:

YES:
- Being nice to people.
- Treat people with basic kindness.
- Respect differences. (You can encounter those of different race, gender, religion, age, or disability.)

- Be mindful of personal spaces from each person.

- Remember that you are talking to people online that you never met majority.

- Bullying/Racism/Speech/Harassment/Sexism/Witch Hunting towards any real person.
- Raiding in our server.
- Serious Suicide Talk.
- Bring people towards other people's relationships.
- NSFW talk/posting (excluding in the NSFW channel).

(3.) What are the punishments for violating the rules? If I get banned, can I come back?

- 1st + 2nd time: Warning with no punishment
- 3rd + 4th time: 10-24 hour timeout
- 5th+ time: Permanent ban from our server

Violations on the number of times are calculated based on the same specific rule you broke. However, failure to follow the 1st rule may lead to a Permanent ban from our server regardless of no warnings.

If you are banned permanently out of our server, you may visit stanleyq6309.wixsite.com/lobby/discord-contact and file a ticket for a chance to return back. You can find it after clicking the Discord Invitation button on the website and scroll all the way at the bottom. Alt accounts will also be banned immediately.

Moreover, the punishments for violating rules that are only within the NSFW channel will receive separate punishments. Refer to additional NSFW rule points at the bottom of the page for more information.

(4.) How do I or another person get invited into this server?

Visit stanleyq6309.wixsite.com/lobby and find a discord button below on the home page to enter back in the Discord Server. As of now, it is open to the public and we welcome newcomers to enter, as long as they follow the rules. The invite link may be subject to change.

(5.) Do all video links have to be on the #videos channel?
 
This specific rule is only applied to those that wish to post their own promotional videos like your recordings/stream of a game or such. Outside of that, video links can be posted onto other channels as long as they are on topic of that channel.

(6.) What is the Event Category in this server?

The Event Category rewards people for taking part in our Discord Server. You can earn tickets simply by chatting or participating in Stanley’s custom events, which can be traded for prizes like exclusive roles. Equip the Event Pass role in the Channels & Roles section to get started. (Refer to question #11 below if you need help with it)
There will also be a channel in that category where you can play with commands of BGbot and with other bots.

(7.) What is the BGbot in the discord server? When is it active?

The BGbot is a Discord bot made by StanleyQ6309 to enjoy some of his custom commands you can play with. It is however only active rarely (typically when Stanley's computer is typically on). Various common commands of most Discord bots are available for BGbot, but additional commands even include:
        - Various mathematic commands (including currency conversions, sales tax, and interest)
        - Gacha commands for Genshin, Star Rail, and Blue Archive.
                - Gacha simulator for banners.
                - Currency conversion for Genshin and Star Rail. (ex. Primogems -> Rainbow Fates)
                - Artifact/Relic simulator for Genshin and Star Rail.
                - Basic Damage Calculations (excluding Blue Archive).
        - Kingdom Hearts Union X's Trait + Guilt Rolls.

If you wish to enjoy the BGbot commands, just ping StanleyQ6309 when he is active.

(8.) What if I want to post a photo that belongs in more than one channel or it technically belongs in multiple channels?

You can post it in any channel as long as it is on topic of it. You can post the same on 2 channels if you want, but never more than that. If you are confused to know where to post it and just posting only once, you can pick whichever it favors. If you prefer StanleyQ6309 suggestion, prioritize from the top channel to lowest.

(10.) Why are there different art channels?

Different art channels are made to divide into different sections for artists. These are broken down from draft art, finished art by the artist, and another being finished art from other artists. The following art channels are:

- 🏞️other-art➕cosplay👗    (Post finished art from other artists. Cosplay pictures can also be posted here.)

(11.) Are there self-assigned roles and do they have purpose? 

In the Channels & Roles section (located at the very top of the Discord server), you will be able to checkmark certain roles by answering questions you would like to see. Most roles when equipped will provide DM alerts for certain gacha games while some others will hide off channels that you do not like to see. You can un-checkmark your answers if you want to undo it at anytime. The roles are:

- Promotions = (Receive Alerts for any random Promotions)
- Hu Tao’s Spirit = (Genshin Impact Role for Code Alerts)
- Fu Xuan’s Dimension = (Honkai Star Rail Role for Code Alerts)
- Mika's Halo = (Blue Archive Role with no purpose besides showing you're a fan)
- Keykid’s Book = (Access to view past KH UX/DR channels and Dissidia Opera Omnia channels)
- No Art = (Remove all Art channels)
- No Spoilers = (Remove Leaks + Spoilers from Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail)
- No Genshin = (Remove all Genshin channels)
- No TCG Genshin = (Remove just Genshin’s TCG Info Cards)
- No Star Rail = (Remove all Star Rail channels)
- Event Pass = (Access to view all Light Shines Events)
- NSFW = (Access to NSFW channel) [Must be ages 18+]

(12.) Why can I not see certain channels?

In the same the Channels & Roles section,
1. Click on: “Browser Channels” (“All Channels on mobile”) at the very top.
2. You will be able to checkmark and uncheck the channels you like to only see.

Alternatively, you can go our Discord Server Settings (by opening the dropdown menu via top left) and checkmark "Show All Channels" to view every channel available excluding any roles equipped that block certain channels.

(13.) What verifies as spam as part of the rules?

Spam is referred toward on being the exact same message over and over again for at least 3 or more times within either under 1 minute or no other message response from another person. Spam includes the same messages onto different channels. The only messages that can ignore the rules is if the context of the message is more so used as a funny reaction or meme that majority would respect or like.

(14.) Are curse words allowed in the server?

Yes. Lots of people around the world curse casually for a vast majority of conversations, as long as it is not used directly on a person in a serious manner. This ranges from:
        - Fuck, Shit, Damn, Ass/Asshole, Bitch, Bastard, Hell, Crap

(15.) Is it ok for any depressing/suicide conversations in the server?

Under most circumstances, those conversations are allowed, but if the conversation goes extremely serious and deep to where it is found that a person discussing has severe Depression, we will timeout the conversation and recommend that conversation into direct messages (DMs) instead. Messages of such will be deleted in this case.

You are welcome to help out those that are very depressed, but we recommend to only continue it directly on their DMs. If their DMs are disabled, contact StanleyQ6309 right away and he will tell the depressed person to continue the conversation in DM.

(16.) Because of differences in time zones, is there a way to share a specific date and time, such as a timestamp or countdown that will display correctly for everyone on their time zones?

Typing @time lets you precisely specify a date and time, ensuring it automatically adjusts and displays correctly for people in different time zones. From there, you can immediately click in any of the 4 time formats to immediately post your current date and time. The 4th time format (bottom) when clicked will mainly specify a countdown format for how long it takes/pass until that specific date/time.

To modify it, after typing @time, you can adjust it by typing the date and time from the future/past like 6/30/2030 12:00 AM. Then, type in the 4 time formats (where the 4th one as said above will utilize a countdown format).
